AFJ keeps court-involved and at-risk young people ages 13 - 24 out of prison, providing services instead of cells for job training, education, mentoring and mental health, with ongoing court advocacy. As a result, on average just 5% of participants are re-convicted of a new crime within three years of enrolling in the program. Read more about Avenues for Justice here!
A group from AFJ's Junior Board will be running the 2022 NYC Runs Brooklyn Half Marathon with the hopes of raising $5,000.00 as a group - an amount that helps over the cost of one youth’s year-round participation in our programs.
We'll do the hard part (all 13.1 miles!) and all we ask is that you give to this organization that means so much to us and all those involved.
